There is no data that supports the idea that transgender women are more likely to be sex offenders compared to cis women (+more trans news)

Female sex offenders, trans and cis compared

“For every out woman in the female estate there are order of magnitude more female sex offenders across the estate, which asks the question as to why cisgender female sex offenders are not considered a threat in the same way that trans women who committed no sexual crimes are.”

Summary here.

The data itself suggest that this is within the bounds of actual cisgender female sexual offences conviction rates in the UK, so 1 trans woman per year fits a normative sexual predation pattern in the UK. This is based on population size alone, and is only a statistical exercise based on flawed data. In reality there is no way to know for sure what the actual ratio truly is.

Mormon couple ‘stronger’ than ever after one of them came out as trans

@pinknews

Shaye and Amanda Scott have been sharing their married life online, following Shaye’s transition in 2023. Prior to Shaye’s transition, they welcomed 3 children together. She spoke to her middle child Hudson, age 10, to ask him about life with a transgender parent. She’s also a source of fashion inspo for her pre-teen daughter, with the pair sharing their matching piercings. Amanda and Shaye first got married in 2012, and 11 years later Shaye came out as trans. However, she told Amanda that she wouldn’t transition if it meant losing their marriage. Amanda supported her every step of the way, flying across the world to get surgeries. They then renewed their vows in 2024, with their gay uncle blessing the Mormon wedding. Both Shaye and Amanda grew up in religious homes, and have spoken about how they receive hate from their own community online. As they continue on their journey of discovery and love , we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this beautiful queer family. #lgtbqia #family #trans #transparent #parenting #children
