R (Sussex) v Office for Students (OfS) and FDU is a 2026 High Court judicial review concerning the limits of regulatory power over university equality policies, academic freedom, and free speech.

The case arose from a record £585,000 fine imposed by the OfS on the University of Sussex in March 2025, following a three-and-a-half-year investigation into the treatment of gender-critical views on campus, specifically relating to the resignation of Professor Kathleen Stock in 2021.

The ruling is a loss for GC transphobes.
