The UK Labour Party’s decent into moral cowardice is truly a tragedy. It is hard to believe now, but under Theresa May even the Conservative Party was pro-. That is no longer the case.

Now the Labour Party, who once was the progressive social democratic party of the left, has become the party of transphobic policies, all thanks to the activism of TERFs (-exclusionary radical feminists/fascists) like JK Rowling.

What drives this moral collapse is not necessarily transphobia among the leading politicians (although that may also be the case). This is more about them making “pragmatic” decisions about not challenging the hate of their presumptive voters. That does not make this less morally reprehensible.
