Sabrina Carpenter brings trans rights to MTV Video Music Awards

At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, Sabrina Carpenter delivered a performance of her song “Tears” in support of transgender rights. Joined by drag artists from RuPaul’s Drag Race, the stage was filled with placards bearing messages like “Protect trans rights” and “In trans we trust.”

The game Marvel Rivals just introduced Angela – a lesbian Asgardian princess who has a trans wife in the comics.

According to the comics, Angela, also known as Aldrif Odinsdottir, is the long-lost daughter of Odin and Freyja. She was kidnapped as an infant during the war between Asgard and the Tenth Realm, Heven, and raised by the Angels of Heven as one of their fiercest warriors.

In Heven, Angela grew close to Sera, a woman born among the Anchorites — a monastic order where only men were traditionally allowed. Sera, however, was a trans woman who lived her truth openly. Angela fell in love with her, and the two became inseparable.
