Cis love letters to UK trans people (and more transgender news)

Cisgender people have written defiant letters of love and solidarity to the trans community in a bid to combat rising transphobia in the UK.

The campaign, which began on Valentine’s Day and continues through late February, encourages supporters to write simple but heartfelt letters in support of transgender people’s dignity, worth, and right to exist.

Not In Our Name, a group of cisgender trans-allies which stands behind the project, also run another campaign in support of trans people. 84,384 have signed that letter at the moment of writing. The goal is 100,000 signatures. Women, cis or trans, can sign the campaign letter here!

The Victorian chapter of Lesbian Action Group (LAG), is appealing a Human Rights Commission ruling that prevents the group from excluding trans women from its public gatherings.
