The Trump administration’s Department of Health and Human Services, led by Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has released an updated 400-page report on pediatric gender dysphoria that claims gender-affirming care for trans youth is harmful and insufficiently evidenced.

It is being promoted by HHS as a landmark, “peer-reviewed” document. But within hours of publication, major medical organizations, researchers, and LGBTQ advocates were describing it in very different terms: pseudoscience and politics dressed up as science.
